GS1 Logger Ball – The Key of Solution!

During the course of the game the player gains insight into the designated prefixes of the countries that are members of the GS1 association, while also getting to know the various types of barcodes.

The Logger game made by GS1 Hungary is an interactive mind reader game that is capable of pairing a barcode with a selected country, and guessing the given symbology without asking the player.

No physical action is needed during the course of the game, such as touching the screen or pushing buttons. The game can have more participants at once. All the tasks require short mental calculations on the part of the player.

The participants of the game will first have to think of the number, the so-called prefix, of a continent’s countries that randomly appear on-screen. This number is comprised of three digits in all cases. In the Logger game the 110 countries are categorized into five zones (Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America, MEMA, North America).

The player has to remember his/her number and must do four simple mathematical operations on the three-digit number.

The curiosity of the game lies in the random appearance of 18 symbols on 18 numbered places after the players performed their mental calculations. Here, the task of the players is to find the symbol designating the resulting number of their calculations.

The barcode symbol that the player thinked of will appear on the screen at the end of the game.

The resulting barcode can be read with the help of the GS1 Logger application, through which you can gain more information on how the software works.

GS1 Knowledge test - how do you know the rules of GS1 General Specifications?

During the game the player can test his/her skills about GS1 ID Keys and Barcode symbols.

Wich ID Key is possible to be encoded in wich Barcode symbol according to the GS1 General Specifications?

The left rolling cube lists the ID Keys, the right rolling cube lists the different Barcode symbols. The player can stop the rolling cubes at once by clicking on the globe, or step by step clicking on the cubes.

In the game there are plenty of combinations the player can create. There is a few seconds before the game shows the right answer to the question.
